  1. I would love to recommend a smartphone to my 75 year old mother. So far she has had a Nexus 5. Looking for a user-friendly and reliable phone. The uses are WhatsApp, internet, some camera and of course calls. Expenditure in the region of NIS 1000. What to go for? Shiomi? Galaxy? I would be happy to recommend specific models. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello to all the experts, I have had a problem turning on my computer for some time. I have to "play" with the button sometimes for a good few minutes until the computer turns on. At the same time there are some keyboard keys that have stopped working - but it bothers me less because I use an "external" keyboard. The last technician I was with claims that in the Vostro 5480 the power button is on the keyboard, so you can not just fix the power switch and have to replace the whole keyboard - I tried to understand from the owner manual whether the on / off button is part of the keyboard and I could not find there Answer. Another technician said this sounds like a problem with the BIOS settings. I am more inclined to believe that this is a hardware issue because I have noticed that if I tilt the computer down a bit or pat it gently on the back cover, the power button responds faster. What's more, the problem started to appear at the same time as some of the keys stopped responding. I ruled out the possibility that this was a problem with the battery or charger. Not sure if it's related, but another phenomenon that happens is that when the computer goes into sleep mode, the only way to wake it up is to open and close the computer cover (typing on a key or touching the touchpad does not trigger it) - this already sounds like a software / update problem - but maybe 600 Related to the problem of lighting? How does it sound to you? Is it really a hardware fault? Is the power button really an integral part of the keyboard, that is, can not just replace it with the whole keyboard? Does it sound likely to you to replace a keyboard XNUMX NIS? If there is anyone here from the Petah Tikva-Ramat Gan-Kiryat Ono area who can recommend a reliable computer technician - it will also help. many thanks!
  3. I was able to run a diagnosis - everything turned out fine. Trying to check if this is a charge issue
  4. Thank you Napoleon! Two questions - 1) Can you guide me where is the DIAGNOSTIC in BIOS? Under which menu? I tried in advanced but did not find this function. Is it possible in the same way to make a diagnosis for luggage? 2) I'm bothered by the possibility that it's not just a button. For example this morning when I plugged in the charger cable, the battery light did not turn on at all, even after the computer had finally turned on its power. In fact, it was only after about 10 minutes that the light came on and also only after I disconnected and connected the charging cable. Thanks also for the recommendation to wait with the purchase - as you understand depends on solving this problem :(
  5. Thanks for the recommendation! Regarding your comment about screen brightness - which is better for prolonged work? Brighter or less bright?

  7. I would be happy to recommend a laptop for intensive office use (8-12 hours of work per day), with the following features: Budget - 6000-7000 NIS Screen - 14 inches / No touch screen / Matte screen (not glossy) Easy Relatively storage volume SSD 500 The new series of processors warranty for 3 years Apart from office use, also used for watching Netflix (ie, not for games etc.) In recent years I have had two DELL vostro computers, both of which I was very satisfied with Faults), so my inclination is to purchase DELL this time as well, but also open to recommendations on other brands (and provided their service is considered good) Thanks in advance to the recommenders!
  8. I would be happy to help you diagnose the following fault (s): 1) The computer has difficulty turning on - requires a long press or a sequence of short presses on the on key. The computer must be plugged in to charge it. 2) At the same time, in the last few days another fault has been added, when I connect the computer to the charging cable the LED of the charger does not turn on at all (even though the light is on in the charger itself) He cleaned the button a bit and it helped for a limited time (about 3 weeks). Other than that the computer works smoothly. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?
  9. you're lovely! Lots and lots of thanks for the help!
  10. Napoleon, can you refer me to a specific Samsung Crucial SSD (500G). Guess I'll buy in pc1 unless you have a recommendation for another store in the central area?
  11. Huge thanks!!! Need a few more refinements if possible: Section 2 - SanDisk SSD PLUS SDSSDA240G-G26 240Gb, Costs 190 NIS - Attaching the link again may work: https://did.li/Ev6ql SSD SanDisk SSD PLUS SDSSDA-480G-G26 480GB , Costs NIS 299 - https://did.li/2pmCN Section 4 - VMware horizon client - Re-attach link: https://did.li/cSZHw Section 5 - "Should not. If Bios appears, the keys inside .... "- Can you expand? I just physically connect the drive, insert a Windows disk and start installing? Section 6 - "The Westero 5480 (remember the good one!) Has two drives. One M2 and one SATA. Probably, if you already have one SATA drive, you won't be able to put another." Sorry for the ignorance, but what is M2 Drive? Do you know how complex it will be to pull out the SSD drive on the Westero 5480 and replace it with the new one? Because if I understood your answer, I think I'd better buy a 500G SSD to install it on the 5480 and the existing drive to transfer to the Westero 3500. How about?
  12. Hello everyone, I have Dell VOSTRO 3500 about 8 years. Six months ago, he started to beep and I bought a new one. Now with all the constraints of corona and work from home, it looks at the possibility of using it for office + internet work. I ran a diagnosis through the BIOS that shows the problem with no hard disk detected. I saw that it was really simple to replace a hard disk on this computer and I took out the old one. I want to replace it with a new 250 GB SSD hard disk, and I have a few questions: 1) Will SSD work well, ie according to the above computer hardware? (From screenshot of the technical specifications) Assuming I want to invest as little as possible, my searches have suggested this - https://2pc.co.il/product.aspx?id=1 8945) Can I install WIN3 again, given that it is a relatively old spec (though before the win10 crashes) Was installed on the computer) 10) The computer will be used for office work with this software - https://www.vmware.com/products/horizon.html - Will your understanding of the above specifications work smoothly? 4) After the physical installation of the SSD all you have to do is install windows, right? I mean, don't you need to do another setup job in BIOS or something similar? 5) If for any reason this entire project fails, can I use the SSD I purchased on another computer? Is it a VOSTRO 6 that has 5480 GB of SSD on it today, or is there no space for two SSD cards on the computer? (Originally comes with 250GB 500rpm Hard Drive, and I upgraded to SSD) Sorry for the excavation, but I would love to help. Many thanks
  13. Thanks! Novo is considered more durable (in terms of plastic) than the rest, right?
  14. I would be happy to help you find a laptop for up to $ 2200 (even less desirable). -win or in the office The computer will be used for office and internet work (not watching movies or gaming), so it is important to have a quality screen that will allow extended work.
  15. The Windows is stuck and sticks to the computer, so it seems to me that the only way to format will be through the bot or enter "safe mode" through the bot Can anyone explain to me how to do it? Thanks!
  16. Hello, I'd love to explain how my computer can be formatted through the bot and not through the Windows. Simply formatting through the winds doesn't work. Thanks in advance!
  17. Thanks to me, I tried, but the file is not available for download - see screenshot. Another idea?
  18. Need your help. I bought a 2 PDA from a company that was closing. Office has Office installed, but its license has been disabled. That is, it cannot be used. I want to install the version I used on the old (life-long) computer that I bought with the best interest is that it is Office Small Business 2007 and when I try to update the license, Microsoft does not recognize it because it is no longer supported. I really don't want to spend another time buying a license and I don't need an up-to-date version of Office. 2007 is good enough for me. Do you have an idea where I can download the software and install it with my original product key? Or any other (and legal) creative solution. Thanks in advance to the respondents
  19. If I use a different address and use the same form of payment, it will already count as two baskets, right?
  20. I place an order from Amazon of two products. One costs - 21 $ and the other - 55 $. That means the total basket comes to $ 76. Is customs duty calculated on the basis of the individual item price or the basket price? These are probably two different Amazon sellers. Thanks in advance to the respondents!
  21. The call keys just don't respond. For example the CAPS LOCK and the letter E and Q. Uses a wireless keyboard instead. "Of course, as Joabaka said, the contact circuit itself could have been destroyed" - how does one know what the source of the fault is? And if the circuit was destroyed, wouldn't all the keys have been disabled?
  22. Thanks for the explanation. There is no choice but to replace everything so ae bd's offer looks good, assuming I will pay the technician to do the replacement work itself
  23. Thanks to everyone who answered! Truth be told, I got lost. I got the impression that keys cannot be switched in a specific way (I spoke to two labs). I have something like 3-5 keys to replace. And I couldn't figure out what it means "bottom-stitched keyboard"?
