  1. Status update, the adapter does support 4K at 60HZ, I found this in the link of where I bought: https://rozetka.com.ua/152280444/p152280444/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=payorder&utm_content=titleTh630 30 Apparently not supported according to searches I did. I canceled the Onboard card and now with the Nvidia 1050 getting 64HZ in Windows on 4K. Disadvantage: It drains the battery quickly.
  2. Thanks again for the explanation and professionalism! This is the model: Yoga 720-15IKB Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80X7 https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/il/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-720-15ikb/80x7?linkTrack= Homepage% 3ABody_Search% 2BProducts & searchType = 4 & keyWordSearch = Yoga% 20720-15IKB% 20Laptop% 20% 28ideapad% 29% 20-% 20Type% 2080X7 Can I know if my current USB-C to HDMI adapter supports 2.0? There is no label on it ... I have purchased it before and I have no packaging. Also could it be that the laptop itself does not support 60HZ frequency at 4K resolution no matter what property cable? If there is diagnostic software that knows how to test it is also excellent. I'm less bothered by the FPS because it's clear to me that I will not get good performance in 4K but yes it does matter to me a refresh rate of 60HZ.
  3. Thank you very much first of all! I have meanwhile purchased the screen in question. I only have a USB C port and I already had a small USB C adapter for HDMI to which I connected the HDMI cable that came with the monitor (and not my old one that might not support?) And I with 4K resolution for my office and 4K movies. However I have a feeling there might be some smearing. By the way, I have 2 video cards. Also the simple one which is Intel630 used for Windows supports (!) However the refresh rate is indeed 30. Do not know how to check refresh rate while playing then the Nvidia 1050 is the active card. ? Is it possible to improve the refresh rate issue with a more suitable cable? Maybe buy a direct cable (without adapter) from USB C to Display Port? As for frame performance per second it is quite clear to me, there are no expectations to work with 4K in cops. But yes in Civilization VI which is currently working in 4K on the Nvidia but I also have a feeling of smearing or slowness in movement.
  4. The goal is to connect my 4-year-old laptop that includes a Geforce 1050 card that on paper is supposed to support 4K resolutions. Just make sure with who knows - can you trust it? For work (mostly office that does not require high graphics) and some games (Pippa, 3d shooters - not online) I saw this screen that suits my needs and is relatively affordable: https://www.amazon.com/LG-27UL500-W-27- Inch-Freesync-Technology / dp / B07PGL2WVS # customerReviews https://ksp.co.il/web/item/75878 I do not have an AMD video card so I will not enjoy what Freesync is but I guess there will be no harm from it. I would love an opinion, especially from someone who bought this screen.
