Greetings

I'm a programmer, and I need to buy a new computer.

I work on the computer a lot of hours every day, so I want the computer to fit my needs, and I'm willing to pay a decent price.

It's important for me to make it clear that I'm not just looking to throw money at brands, and would love to pay less if I find a good computer.

Computer uses:

Visual Studio, Sql Server Express, Node, Angular

without And media, without OC.

display:

- 15.6 screen, necessary. I think (and I would love if you fixed me) that it is very difficult to develop on 14 computer ''

- Matte screen, no reflections

- I don't need a screen , Rather than elaborate gaming screens.

Ease of use:

Weight up to 2 kg.

- Good keyboard, and good pointing surface.

- I don't really need a number keyboard.

- My life Averages

- Powerful and durable computer for years.

Performence:

On the old computer (core i3 2650), I would find myself sometimes waiting long minutes for the Build to finish.

This time, I want a computer with good performance.

On the other hand, since I'm not into media processing, I think I should use a processor with a low heat envelope, so as not to shorten battery life for free

In other words: a U-series processor and not a H-series,

focusing:

Here is a link to two models I am debating:

https://www.pc365.co.il/compare.aspx?p=,,19476,19827

The Latidude's processor is a bit more powerful, and the battery is stronger, and it's also cheaper at NIS 700.

On the other hand, I read negative reviews of the Latidude screen and keyboard.

what do you think? Is the Thinkpad Better? Is his benefit noticeable, and worth another NIS 700?

second-hand

And here is a third model, which I am considering buying: XPS second hand.

Here is a link. https://www.yad2.co.il/s/c/f9f3ge

On the one hand, the XPS is a very powerful brand, on the other hand its H series processor, and I'm afraid it will unnecessarily hurt battery life.

I'd love your opinion, and advice, or hear more ideas!

Best regards, Yehuda

Hey

Take it, at "half price"  :)  -

https://www.pc365.co.il/product-19093-Lenovo_ThinkPad_E590_20NB002AIV_יבואן_רשמי_במלאי

You can expand both memory (up to 32 Giga) and ( Additionally Sustain) at a ridiculous price.

Of course, it is recommended to extend a three-year warranty.

Is that so?

Indeed.

Is it worth the difference for programming? I don't think so.

The E590 also has a very good keyboard, and most importantly, convenient expansion options.

As long as it's a model without a separate video card, that's fine .

In T you pay extra for branding and also for THUNDERBOLT3 and more

Priestly and priestly things, and yes, even at a lower weight.

Is it worth more than 2000 NIS? In my opinion not.

Your decision, of course!  :)

עריכה:

The E590 is still As the best of the Thinkpad series (or what remains of it in Lenovo),

In the best sense of the word.

The replacement generation no longer meets these standards.

Good argument.

Below is a comparison of the two models

https://www.pc365.co.il/compare.aspx?p=19093,19476,

The cheap computer weighs another 325g, and its battery is weaker, the warranty is for a year and in the lab, but on the other hand it is cheaper for 2600.

If we upgrade the warranty, the gap will be NIS 2200.

And that's a fair amount.

Before I decide, I'd love to hear more reviews.

Thank you so much, Napoleon Forty-Five!

Another general note about it ^^^^^

If your vision is good and your weight is important to you,

After all, in terms of screen real estate, there is no difference between 14 and 15.6 inches.

And actually, not even 32 inches, of course exaggerated.

Obviously in 15.6 everything is bigger, but in terms of content, you will see the same lines

And the same tables in 14, only smaller.

In my humble opinion, absolutely!

Sure and safe when it comes to - And b  !

It is a responsibility with receipts for any trouble that will not come,

And it is on the customer site, that is, to the house.

What's wrong with being quiet for three years?

By the way, at  T590 as well as models To many, the responsibility is already embodied in the price.

It turns out, sit - T590 memory is soldered to the motherboard.

That is, there is also an expandable slot, but you actually get from the store

Memory that works in a single, non-dual channel.

Here is a comprehensive comparison between the T590 and E590

https://www.notebookcheck.net/index.php?id=127065&specs[]=308380&specs[]=310074

In this article Lenovo-ThinkPad-E590-Review, They slander the E590's SSD, claiming it's causing performance issues.

Very scary 😢

Emma, as you can see in the links you brought yourself

From the store (one of many kinds) that sells the - E590, Here in Israel It is sold with a drive fast.

Remove concerns from your heart. It is not Perfect, but which one? At least it is very lucrative .....  :).

Thanks for the response!

For my curiosity and education, how does one know such a thing?

On Schneider's website, they describe the drive with the words: PCIe M.2 SSD

In the review I brought from the notebookcheck website they describe the drive in the words: Toshiba KBG30ZMT512G, 512 GB M.2 2280, PCIe NVMe

How do I find the difference?

So -

The truth is, my quote relates to a previous E480 model that came overseas with a SATA drive.

So for your question, you can ask the store.

And there was also a mobile in the country selling a drive So either ask for a replacement for Samsung or replace yourself,

Which will of course reduce the difference in prices.

On the other hand, everything is relative.

Of course it would have been better to drive faster (if sold with Haiti), but it's still a drive , do not forget.
