Resolution problem in ubuntu for mac os catalina

Hi there, I started a computer science course online and for that I had to install linux's With virtualbox. At the moment it is working on a very low resolution and I cannot change the resolutions almost.

At first I was able to change some resolutions to a 4: 3 ratio and it worked with such annoying blasts in the mouse but still worked. When I tried to change to my MacBook Resolution - 2560 by 1600 and some other resolutions it got stuck completely and I had to turn the system off and on.

The ubuntu is version 18.04.3 and I have a Pro 13 'bottle with mac os catelina 10.15.2.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I have no clue about these things and couldn't find an answer online ..

Thanks in advance

Did you install Guest Additions?

Virtualbox Guest Additions must be installed on the virtual machine

Open terminal and create vboxusers group, add user to voxusers group

Do a rebboot for the virtual machine. restart.
