Storage should rely on backup rather than reliability.

There are series on paper likely to be more reliable, not worth relying on.

What does backup mean? About the volume itself? I currently have 2TB of It's been 5 years and he's been doing that.
By the way, what is the difference between all the colors of HD? I mean, I realized there is a green, blue, red and purple series. Which of them is worthwhile for the home user?

This backup means that the information is at least in one place, preferably not on the same device, not even in the same home.

So if today's disc breaks down you have the stuff in place.

Also backup Can catch, in my approach it should be in addition to normal backup.

got it.
I read a bit about the differences between the series. I'm currently debating whether to go for the WD blue or even go for a Seagate company drive, where prices are significantly cheaper in volumes of 6 and 8TB. what do you recommend?
