The truth is that I do not see any prevention in building a vertical holder that will fit the M2 that exists today just does not seem to me that it is anyone's priority.

Just as the first SATA connector (between the disk and board) did not include a metal tab for locking the cable in place, so here too (hopefully) a connection that would allow vertical mounting.

 

There are many questions about who designed the motherboards ... who decided that Intel processors need 4 holes in the board, and Only two catchers; Or the uncomfortable plastic power connections. But it seems the same people remain in office ...
