Used Dell VOSTRO 3500 Old - Hard Disk Replacement for SSD

Hello everyone,

I have had a Dell VOSTRO 3500 for about 8 years. Half a year ago he started beeping and I bought a new one.

Now with all the corona and home work constraints, it looks at the possibility of using it for office work + .

I ran a diagnosis through the Which shows the problem with no hard disk detected.

I saw that it was really easy to replace a hard disk in this computer and I took out the old one.

I want to replace it with a new hard disk 250 GB, and I have some questions:

1) Will work well, i.e. according to the above computer hardware? (From screenshot of technical specifications)

2) So, which SSD is worth buying, assuming I want to invest as little as possible. My searches brought it up - https://1pc.co.il/product.aspx?id=8945

3) Can I install WIN10? Again, given that this is a relatively old spec (though the crash of win10 was already installed on the computer)

4) The computer will use me for office work with this software - https://www.vmware.com/products/horizon.html - Will your understanding of the above specifications work smoothly?

5) After the physical installation of the All that's left to do is install , Right? That means no more definition work in Or something like that?

6) If for any reason this entire project fails, can I use I purchased on another computer? Is it a VOSTRO 5480 that has 250 GB of SSD on it today, or is there no space for two SSD cards on the computer? (Originally comes with 500GB 5400rpm Hard Drive, and I upgraded to SSD)

Sorry for the excavation, but I would love to help you.

 many thanks🙏

Hey

Don't know if and how the software will run (though I doubt it will run ...  :), You might work).

1. Yes

2. Don't see what it means.

3. If you've already worked, then yes.

4. : nixweiss: See above ...

5. No need. If Bios appears, the keys inside ...

6. The Westero 5480 (remember goodness!) Has two drives.

One M2 and one SATA. Presumably, if it already has one SATA drive,

You can't put another one.

The good news is that the memory of your mobile phone can be expanded up to 8 gigabytes.

Huge thanks!!! Need a few more refinements if possible:

Section 2 - SanDisk SSD PLUS SDSSDA240G-G26 240Gb, Costs 190 NIS - from France again the link may work: https://did.li/Ev6ql

SSD SanDisk SSD PLUS SDSSDA-480G-G26 480GB, costs 299 NIS - https://did.li/2pmCN

Section 4 - VMware horizon client - Re-attach the link: https://did.li/cSZHw

Section 5 -  "Do not need. If Bios appears, the keys inside .... "- Can you expand? I'm just physically connecting the drive, inserting a disk of And starts installation?

Article 6 - "The VESTRO 5480 (remember goodness!) Has the option of two drives. One M2 and one SATA. Obviously, if you already have one SATA drive, you won't be able to put another. "Sorry for the pits, but what is M2 drive?

You know how complicated it is to pull out the drive In the Westero 5480 and replace it with the new one? Because if I understood your answer, I think I'd better buy Of 500G to install it on the 5480 and the existing drive to transfer to the Westero 3500. How about?

Hey

2. I'm not a big fan of SanDisk. They are fine, not beyond ....

Now, for old Vastro, they're fine, because even so, the old SATA interface, that is

At a limited speed, slow compared to SATA3.

If you want to buy for the 5480, I'd go for it Or Krusiel.

4. OK. The company sets 1GB as a minimum, so there is no reason not to work with 4GB.

5. Yes, sometimes things are pretty simple…. :)

Sorry for the ignorance, but what is M2 Drive?

It's a drive with a different connection, like a card On mobile,

Look in the picture -

Depending on your opinion of the replacement process.

If you think you can replace the 5480, it seems pretty reasonable to me.

But keep in mind that for the 5480 a better drive is better, like the ones I mentioned.

Not mandatory, better.  :)

Napoleon, can you refer me to Samsung specific Crucial (500 g). Guess I'll buy in pc1 unless you have a recommendation for another store in the central area?
