Where is it recommended to repair a hard with a faulty head?

I have a 1 TB WD blue hard disk. When you plug it in, you hear the disk rotate normally but the head makes constant "tick" noises to each other or so, and the disk does not appear anywhere on the computer.

I would like to get a recommendation from experienced friends, to a reliable repair lab.

Thanks in advance!

Not worth fixing.
If it's something external then maybe you can replace the drive inside the box.

But do not fix such things because they lose their credibility and it is usually more expensive than buying a new one.

If repairs it is only necessary to recover information.

If you have a drive, and the information can not be read from it, then the process of extracting the information from it we call "data recovery".

If the head scratched the plates, some of the information may have been damaged.

Any attempt to activate the drive reduces the chance of recovering the data from it.

Keep in mind that this is an expensive process. Can also be thousands of shekels.

What nonsense are you recording ... the real Israeli who is trying to be clever.

Let me tell you about this "data recovery", they replace the electronic array with lab conditions, gloves, white robe, sterile room.

They bring the same hard disk as yours and transfer all the contents of the new disk to the old one except the plates, sealed by pumping oxygen inside a dedicated vessel made with a type of incubator

They play the disk 'take out the information to a third disk, then they copy it to a new drive and you pay per gig + costs around.

No self-respecting restoration company will replace only a part that seems to you and there it will end because in such a situation you will also pay for working hours.

There are about 2 companies in the country that do such things and I am sure you will find them in Google in the first results ...

The name of the company is less important. What is important is that you understand that this is a process that costs thousands of shekels, compared to a 2TB drive that costs about 200 shekels ... and next - always make sure that you have all important information maintained on at least 2 different physical drives.
