Adjusting speakers to the receiver, I would love your advice

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have two 8ohm surround speakers, two large fronts (I'm not closed on their ohm value because they do not have a sticker but pretty sure it's 8 ohms from what I understood from the person who brought them to me) and one 4ohm chin.

I am interested in connecting them to a receiver I got that requires 8ohm.

Do you think this will be a problem? Or would the fact that the chin only is at 4 ohms not overload the receiver?

Attached Of the things below (for some reason the system did not allow me to upload some of the photos so I made a collage to be clear 😃).

Many thanks to the assistants and answerers!

Indeed yes, a connection of Has an impedance of 4 ohms per port Requiring 8 ohms, will indeed overload the amplifier output.

Possible solution: 4-om resistor connection in a column to the speaker. The resistor power will be about half of the output power that pushes the speaker.

As long as you do not hear at high volume, there is really no problem.

Also given 4 nuts listed on This is an average inhibition. The impedance varies depending on the frequency. Especially with a speaker marked "KODA" I would not take recorded data seriously.
