Hello everyone,

I have של asus Model x550vx, which I have from 2016

The computer has a Tara size HDD drive and a drive 126Gb on which Windows is installed and I would like to replace the drive In the 500 Gb region. And I wanted to ask what type of drives are relevant to me in terms of physical size and connection type?

And what is the procedure involved in replacing the existing drive?

Thank you!!

You need to buy a 2.5 "drive with a SATA connection.

The procedure is:

1. Order suitable for SATA , So you can connect the drive to the computer as an external drive.

2. Replace the drives (install the new one).

3. Download WIN to DOK (search 10 Download, and you will get to the address of a tool that does this) + install.

4. Connect the old drive and copy the files you want.

1 + 4 can of course be waived.

Thank you very much for the detailed answer.

Sorry in advance for the dig I really do not understand the field so just make sure I understand. I switch between the drives (put the new one in the old place on the computer).

Download the WIN into an external disk on key folder that I inserted and after it goes down and installs with its help on the computer itself (supposedly on the new drive) and then I do not have to adjust the disk key?

And finally I connect the old drive externally with the help of a SATA to USB adapter and copy the files that are important to me there?

And another question, is there a recommended place to buy the drive from and is there a recommended company of such a drive?
