You want a businesslike response?

It sounds ridiculous to me that a person who wants to be in academia beyond a bachelor's degree will spend the time and money on such a professional course. You should have a serious warning light about the very existence of the thought that there is a connection between a "computer technician" or any other professional course and academic and high-tech.
