Advice for a new computer (mainly for a processor, etc. screen)

Recommended Posts

Hi friends,

I'm new here, I'm very impressed with the forum, and would love to have your help

I am interested in purchasing a new computer as a gift for a good friend who helped me a lot,

The computer should be designed for home / office work.

- The budget is 2500 NIS with the option of a small deviation.

- The main use is for office, browsing, basic level graphics (page layout, etc.), viewing and editing Very simple.

- No peripherals needed.

- There is no emphasis on particularly quiet operation.

- Physical size and classic weight

- I thought of installing Independently in order to save a few hundred shekels in favor of the quality of the specifications.

- Also I saw that it is better to upgrade the store to 512 , It's much cheaper.

- I am looking for a store that allows you to upgrade the SSD to 512 for 250 NIS, with a warranty of course.

- The purchase of the computer is planned for tomorrow / next week.

- No requirement for exceptional ports or connections.

- It is important to keep an option to upgrade the RAM.

I am currently in the direction of Dell From the Vostro series, which as far as I understand is a slightly more massive series than the basic one,

Mainly because of the 3 year warranty ...

This is a model 3590.

Memory - 8 GB.

It comes with SSD 126 and from the store offered me to upgrade to 512 for an additional 250 NIS (built-in micro for 800-1000 NIS).

I will install Windows myself, in order to save about 400 NIS.

I am content with mainly two things:

1. The computer comes with either I3 generation 10 2100 GHz, or I5 generation 10 1600 GHz,

Does that mean the I3 is more powerful?

Would you recommend it more regarding the above uses? I was told that for basic uses the I3 would be more efficient, right?

2. The computer comes with approx. INTEL UHD 620 screen, or AMD 610, when theAMD Micro at 250, is it worth it?

And in general I would be happy for any comment / achievement / other recommendation to buy and for the considerations I mentioned!

Thanks in advance!😀

The i5 is significantly more powerful it has twice the processing cores and also the speeds you mentioned are not close to what actually happens.

Absolutely not, whoever told you that does not know what he is talking about

Your considerations are good in terms of the warranty of And that is that their computers are massive and reliable.

If you can, go for it i5 generation 10.

Note that you will receive Internal 8GB when today it is customary to put 16GB in most computers.

You can expand later to a pair of 8GB but be sure to buy the same component in the future To be on the computer.

If you are requesting a new hard disk from the store note that this is an M.2 component 240GB is also possible

It has twice the core

The I3 also has 4 (2 physical and 2 logical cores), and I realized that most software does not know how to use four Physics, it is very difficult to get to the edge of CPU utilization.

And for simple use One of I3 is stronger and faster than I5.

But if you say that's not true, then you probably know ....

Are there several types of SSDs?

How can I know what the component is?

I'm interested in getting to half a dozen , And stay within budget ...

Do you have any idea if the upgrade might violate DELL's warranty?

Thanks.

An upgrade should not damage the warranty. But ask them.

Again says recommended i5 if you want to save your right.

Ask the store what is installed and if it is really an M.2 component .

The I3 also has 4 (2 physical and 2 logical cores)

No matter how you turn it still the i5 has a dual

I realized that most software does not know how to use four Processors Physics

Most of the software will not use all four but it is enough that the software you use will take advantage of two and the operating system will run something else in the background and the poor i3 starts to suffocate. On the other hand there is software (did anyone say video editing?) That will happily utilize both 8 cores and 16 if there is appropriate hardware.

For simple use Core One of I3 is stronger and faster than I5

It is not clear according to what you determined it, in practice the single core performance of the i5 is higher

This is interesting, because the I3 will have the multiplicity of capillaries that in terms of the computer for most uses it will recognize it as four cores, as in the I5, no?

But you're probably right, otherwise why really have an I5 ...

Wow yes, editing This is for example a usage that utilizes a lot of resources from the CPU!

Thank you very much, you helped me a lot with your professional knowledge!

I will close on I5.

By the way, do you have any idea about the differences between the video cards I mentioned?

The operating system will detect 4 logical cores but it does not give the performance of 4 physical cores because in practice there are only two cores and the processor is not able to run all the capillaries at the same time. In any case, the i5 also has a plurality of capillaries, so 8 logical cores will appear there.

Usually for editing A separate video card is recommended but the model you mentioned is very weak and in my opinion not worth the money.

The i5 also has multiple capillaries

Sure?

I realized that this technology (something HYPER) does not exist in I5 ...

To edit Video A separate video card is recommended

At any level of video editing?

Otherwise it will not go or will not go the best it can go?

Thanks!

Hyper-Threading. And it has I5, though I remember that in some generation it did not. But at 10 yes.

Yes (of course it is theoretically possible even without, do not try). The best he can? If you do more than connect It can take hours.
