Assembling a computer for the Oculus Quest VR (first)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. I'm new here.
I would love to get a specification for a computer that will fit VR with Oculus Quest (not the new one that came out, not that it matters).
The requirements are:
1. It is best to have an outlet on the case -C

2. It will support 5GHz WIFI
3. Up to NIS 5000 (possible also in Eilat, I travel there sometimes)

I would be happy if you would not miss any part, even if it is obvious for the most part. Because I lack experience in assembling computers, and I need to know exactly what to buy. Thanks.

Why you need a port USB-c? The standard connection cable of the Quest is USB-A to USB-C (the side that connects to the headset).
Is there a connection between the quest and Wifi? How urgent is your purchase?

The cable that comes with the Quest is UCB-C to USB-C. I know I can use any other cable For USB-C, but the cable that comes is 3 meters, and it would be very convenient for me if the computer would already be -C. It will save me to look for such a long cable. As I wrote "better" but not mandatory.
The connection between the Quest and WiFi, is that you can connect the Quest to a computer on WiFi, via a virtual app In the future, there is talk that support for connecting to WiFi will be through the oculus application directly. The 5GHz connection has less latency.
To your last question: This is not really urgent for me

Port -C will just cost another hundred shekels on the case and buying an adapter will cost much less so I personally would go for this option.
If not urgent for you then wait a bit, right in the next two weeks coming out New and new processors so I would wait a month and a half + - and buy then (BF promotions also fall in that period so generally good).

Do you want specs for things that haven't come out yet?
Wait a month and come back and we can give you more up to date information, anyway you would like a Reisen 5 5600X processor and probably a 3070 video card but we still do not know where it will stand in relation to the new video cards of Which have not yet been announced.

Well, do what you think.

So this is, that as I mentioned, I do not have much experience. I was hoping that someone here would be able to recommend me a computer within the budget I set and the requirements I set. I saw people recommending here so I thought they would help me too. Thanks for the experience anyway.
