Even in the name of curiosity, technically, what could be the cause of the problem?

Do you expect me to know from here what Did not know

When the mobile was with them twice?   : nixweiss:

One possibility is that there is indeed a USB component that consumes power when the computer is turned off, perhaps even though it does not need to. Example of such an internal USB component - .

A second possibility is that one of the elements in the computer has a tiny short, maybe get a really really tiny one that consumes this voltage.

It can be on a secondary card if there are any on the computer (of additional connections for example) or on the camera or on the screen or even on the touch pad. Everything that connects to the board.

As mentioned, this is probably something super small, for the most part, even a small capacitor will make the computer short and unusable and if there is one that does not disable the computer (usually does disable some functionality) it consumes more power than 28% in two weeks.

updating

The laptop still shuts down quickly when it is turned off.

Compared to the second (same) laptop, when the battery of the problematic laptop is completely discharged when the laptop is turned off,

At the exact same time, the battery in the second identical laptop, drops to only 80%.

solution

There is no solution to the problem, Asked me to send the laptop back to the lab, after twice,

I refused, I explained that I had invested too much time in the subject and they did not seem to be able to fix the problem,

And since the laptop is still under warranty, I asked that they just replace my laptop with a new, identical laptop.

They said they could not, because the laptop was purchased from Walmart and not directly through , I asked to speak with a manager and not a service representative.

A nice manager came back to me, understood the issue and suggested a number of solutions:

1. She will send me another laptop, similar, but renewed.
I politely declined, saying I had purchased a new one so I am asking for a new one.

2. Offered that I would buy another laptop myself, send them the receipt and they would send me a check.
I explained that it would be less convenient, because I would not be in the US any time soon and the bureaucracy might fall between the cracks,
I asked if she could just send me the same laptop through and that's it.

Offered to send me a Gift Card worth $ 3 with which I would purchase through the website of For a new laptop.
I explained that the laptop did cost $ 400, but it was b And now it costs $ 650,
So I would love to get an amount with which I can purchase just for the same laptop, or she will just make the purchase for me and send it to me.

I went through with the representative on the HP site, they did not have my same model on the site,

I found a similar model, but with a more powerful processor, she tested, approved the model and just agreed to send me such a new laptop.

After she emailed me the order confirmation, I politely wrote to her that I know my laptop screen is not a touch screen,

And I see that on the ordered laptop there is an option to upgrade the screen to a touch screen (which brings the cost of the laptop to $ 900),

And I asked if she could possibly upgrade it for me, but I understand if not and that's fine.

She came back to me and said that she has permission for one upgrade and indeed did so and the new laptop, with a more powerful processor and touch screen, is on its way to me.

Now it only remains to figure out whether to send them the current laptop,

That in practice works without a problem, unless it is turned off for a period of a month or more without use, an irrelevant scenario in current use,

The initial answer was that I should send it back to them, but after a few probes, I may not have to.
