EVO Plus 970 Lower performance than evo 840?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I did tests using 2 programs, one AS BENCHMARK, and the second Samusng Magician software, in both the EVO 840 achieves better results / speeds.

How does that make sense? The EVO PLUS 970 is an M2 drive As far as I know, should give better performance (no?).

Attaches screenshots of the tests -

You probably have a quick mode in samsung magician that puts these tests into RAM. My recommendation is to turn off this option as it can cause such and such problems and crashes.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but is there a connection between disk volume and speed? Because in the test that appears in the link, the drive capacity is 250GB, mine is 500. I saw that in M2 drives, for example, it has a great effect.

I checked and it really appears, but only on the drive of the 840, not of the 970 to which I have a suspicion that there are performance issues.

In my drives There is no such possibility because most have realized that there is no reason. Plus minus the drive works in its reasonable range, though not maximum performance in the measured range. There are other things that can affect such as things running in the background, operating system settings, pciex2 channels versus 4 channels and the like. Anyway I would turn off the rapid mode in the 840 as it also takes away from the ram of the computer and can also cause stability issues.

Yes regarding The installation system is on the EVO PLUS 970.

I canceled the RAPID MODE for the builders.

Could there be settings in the BIOS that need to be checked?

* Updates that after canceling RAPID MODE the speed at 840 drops drastically.

In theory the very fact that the operating system sits on the 970 so it probably slows you down in performance performance only. But it's because the operating system is working while on this drive along with other background software probably. In theory in terms of the 970 and regardless of the other variables that only you know about (components, software, etc.), you should have a good experience thanks to the 970 and well you put the operating system on it. I would not chase numbers and try to enjoy and use the computer for your uses. As for the 840 then the speed you saw is that of memory Yours and not the 840's. That's the whole story of rapid mode. It loads cache of certain templates such as performance testing and some other things. It looks nice in numbers, but in practice it does not give too much and the network talk a lot that it also makes compatibility issues and crashes.

You have no problem, the speeds of the 970 are more or less normal, and in the 840 you get hallucinatory numbers because of the rapid mode as they said (you can also check the technical specifications of the 840 and see that there are much lower numbers than the test you got with the 970) .

In June everything will work out? The MWC 2021 exhibition begins with a Corona-adapted version

Instead of a grandiose mobile celebration in Barcelona - we get a relatively small event in Shanghai this week, and plans for a European comeback this coming June The MWC (Mobile World Congress) was the first notable technological event to suffer last year's coronation, with naive restrictions in the first stage, Complete cancellation of the physical event afterwards - and at the same time promises that next year everything will return to normal, when it is likely that at that point in time no one guessed or predicted that even in 2021 ...
