ASUS X570 USB disconnect in AMD chipset?

Recommended Posts

This is a table Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero which was bought through NEWEGG a few months ago, so far the board has worked as expected without any problem, in recent days a problem of disconnections has developed In user equipment b 2.0 for no apparent reason.

So after I tried everything possible and performed all the steps suggested by the technical support of IM adressing to you,

The steps I tried are moving from the obvious as a driver update of And reinstalled via device manager, driver update of the chipset to update BIOS that includes AGESA update 1.2.0.2 New supposed to solve the problem and reinstall the operating system, various BIOS settings such as switching to PCIe 3.0 instead of 4.0, lowering the XMP profile of the memories to play with energy settings, etc. The problem happens with all the equipment that uses USB2.0 (this is a driving simulator which means Pedals, steering wheel motor and steering wheel rim as well as wireless headphones with DAC) I tried each device separately and at each input Existence, which is certainly strange that the problem developed suddenly during a game without any software update or other.

In support of I was told to do RMA but since the board was purchased through It is not possible to get service in the country and I have to send the board to the US and then provide an American return shipping address which means using third party shipping services and customs costs on everything together ... with the costs it already seems to me you can throw the board in the trash and buy another board ...

A processor is connected to the board 3x and 5800 video card.

I would love your help and know if anyone else has encountered the phenomenon and if he has been able to resolve it.

Thanks in advance!

This is a known issue with the B450 \ B550 and X570 and BIOS updates were supposed to fix (for me personally it solved), in my case the thing that caused it the most was my VR headset, so try to think what your problem might be and try to use it less or maybe change it Connection or something.

It's awfully weird that everything worked fine and the problem suddenly popped up, even weirder that the BIOS updates didn't fix the problem.

The latest BIOS is a beta version and already there should be some fix for these issues in all motherboards from the 500 series - this is a global issue that AMD has even addressed in forums for people to investigate the issue

. Although currently the current update is beta and I less like to install beta, but if you decide yes to install (or have already installed) - then reset all settings to default and set what is needed after restart. As for the drivers of the chip then from my experience and also according to their previous recommendations, I recommend removing all previous versions before installing the Amd chipset drivers. Now I do not know if it's a bug that's just mine or not, but the best option that worked well for me in successfully installing the drivers of the chip was in the latest version by opening the installation file from cdm in administrator configuration (Windows 10). Successfully @zombie.
