How to exercise warranty for a Gigabyte card purchased in Newegg

Recommended Posts

Peace,

I have 5700 XT I bought some time ago in Newegg

Comes with 3 warranty years

Now all three fans have stopped working completely,

Not in SILENT mode and not in OC mode

Nor through the software ENGINE

I am interested in exercising responsibility,

I opened a ticket on But there is no answer there,

I turned to And they opened another ticket for me through them, two days have passed and there is still no answer.

Is it possible to exercise responsibility in the country?

Thanks

The gigabyte warranty is not international, if you want to exercise warranty you will have to send back to the US and there open RMA when all costs are on you and when you will also have to pay taxes again when the card is returned.
You can try talking to their customer service, but I doubt they will do anything.
The most logical solution in my opinion is to improvise Other or even buy a kit Water with a block at 500-600 from China.

thanks for the reply.

Really sucks, I was sure there is some arrangement with the warranty there, I see that the prices of the video cards have also more than doubled there.

How exactly can refrigeration be improvised? Just put 2 chassis fans on the card?

Do you have an example of good cooling from Mali Express?

bykski is a company that produces good blocks and if you want to go in this direction there is a selection of radiators and kits that will help you, but it is not a particularly cheap business and will probably come out in the 500 area.
In terms of improvisation I would indeed start by simply putting two standard fans on the heat sink even with handcuffs and looking at how the temperatures are.
You can also try to find replacement fans that will suit your cooling, but this is not always easy.

Try updating drivers or installing drivers a few versions back, two years ago I had something similar with a Gigabit 1060 card, installing old drivers fixed the problem for me.

I tried to replace a slot in the computer, still

I connected to another computer and still the fans are not working

Basically, in OC mode, the fans work at maximum speed every time you turn on the computer (until you get to Windows and that name changes according to the settings),

Now that's not happening

As for the drivers, do not think it related

I removed the drivers with DDU and reinstalled a different version

Try updating the video card BIOS.

Where to download New..?

According to techpowerup and GPUZ, I have the latest BIOS right now

Except the card still works and I do not want to knock anything there

I tried disconnecting the fans and plugging them directly in somewhere, but their connection is different from any other connection I have on the computer so I could not check it

What I will try in the coming days is to find another video card with a similar connection to the fan, and try to connect the fans of my card to it

That way I can know if the problem is with the fans or the panel itself

I found this water cooling example

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000742403998.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.5da93c00phdQRe&mp=1

$ 152 + shipping $ 60

Need to add more taxes to it

If you already have Eli Express, try buying replacement fans first.
Sellers of such fans for lots of models of video cards
(This is just the fan itself, without the frame).
It's a matter of a few dollars.

One fan breaks down, 2 break down, okay, but all three break down at the same time? There is a reasonable possibility that the problem is not with the fans themselves.

If I'm not mistaken, all the fans are chained between them.
I do not understand big in electricity but maybe one of them will malfunction and it affects all three.
Anyway it's a few bucks. Worth a try instead of buying Another for a few hundred shekels.

Some things:

A. A web search shows that the solution to the problem is to force PCI-E GEN 3 on the BIOS Motherboard For the video card - do not know why but say it fixed the fans, recommend trying

B. When I had to replace fans for RX 580 from XFX I contacted them and they sent to my US address (via dealtas) a free new fan set And original. The cost of shipping to Israel was $ 8 - I recommend asking GIGABYTE to do something similar - send to the address of a courier company in the US.

third. The last option is to purchase fans from eBay for $ 44: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184585772107?hash=item2afa2b5c4b:g:VL8AAOSwCGlgAnQp

I was glad to help :)
