Compatibility with AMD 5950X processor based computer

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate help regarding component compatibility. The components I already have:

Processor - AMD 5950X

SSN 1 - SAMSUNG 980PRO 500GB M.2

SSN 2 - SAMSUNG 970PRO 250GB M.2

Enclosure Cooler Master H500M

Power Supply Corsair RM750x

I intend to purchase:

Motherboard - ASUS CROSSHAIR VIII HERO X570

Cooling processor - Corsair H150i

זיכרון -

First option for NIS 1299: G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB 2x32GB 3800Mhz CL18

Second option for 1384 NIS: G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB 2x32GB 3600Mhz CL16

Graphics Card - RTX3070  With a preference for ASUS

I would be grateful for the reference to four points:

1. Which Which of the two options is better (and compatible!)?

2. Is the power supply I have strong enough for a people system RTX3070 ?

3. Does the cooling to the processor match the package I have?

4. Do any card RTX3070 Will it fit in my case?

Thanks in advance to the respondents

What is the purpose of the system? There seems to be a pretty aggressive attempt here to throw money in the trash.

Thank you for your reference. The computer will be used primarily for editing In the Premier.

This generation of processors AMD Prefers 4 sticks of memory Over 2. Tested by a number of hardware sites.

That means either you take 4 of 16 or 4 of 32 according to budget.

As for everything else I have nothing to help.

Thanks for treatment. With the future planned transition to 8K I will have to add another 2X32GB.

I would be happy if you would address the four points regarding compatibility and especially the first one (regarding memory).

Take two sets of That both are almost identical and only a negligible difference in speed between them and both will work of course.
The board is super expensive and will not give you anything in relation to the board soon for half the price.
Good luck finding a 3070 at an affordable price, especially .
Write on the website of the case that any GPU shorter than 412 mm will fit.

where? I saw a test of 16 vs. 32 and also two vs. four and only the size affected as far as I can remember and anyway the impact was minor.

Are you sure both options are compatible with the motherboard?
My intention was to purchase the memories in the second option (model code F4-3600C16D-64GTZN) that I know for sure because they are board compatible. On the other hand the memories in the first option (model code F4-3800C18D-64GTZN) Faster and cheaper! But do not appear inList of memories supported by the board

So go for sure, even so you put quite a bit of money on the system.

I'm not sure you took hardware that is the best in terms of price / performance,

But it is no longer so relevant.

These lists show only what the manufacturer specifically tested, they do not always test all models, but it does not really matter because the devices of these memory are very clear.
In addition the cheaper set is not "faster" its frequency is greater but its response time is slower, in any case the differences will be super negligible between the two sets.

Personally I would prefer the memories with the higher running speed despite the reaction time and also save a bit on the road ... but I will accept the advice and will not risk incompatibility.

Thank you very much.
