Not long ago Intel released processors to the middle market with support for HT and 800MHz FSB. In contrast to AMD, which combined the high bass with only its flagship products, Intel, with the intention of moving all of its processor series to the new bass and HyperThreading technology, decided to manufacture processors from lower series at the new standard.
The lowest processor in the series that supports 800MHz and HT bass is the Pentium4 2.4C. The new technologies make it an absolute rival to any other AMD processor for overclockers. Xbit-Labs has tested Intel's new processor and tested the performance under overclocking. And here the 2.4C manages to surprise and display excellent OC performance, and beyond that it manages to display superior performance over Intel's 3.06 processor and AMD's XP3200 +, and by a considerable margin.
