SilverStone has focused mainly on presenting unique packages of all sizes, presenting a second version to a unique case and small packages that contain a lot.
We are all familiar with the RAVEN case from the company, as it is the first case of its kind in the world that presents a revolution in terms of airflow in the case. At the exhibition, the company presented the second version of the case - RAVEN 2. Here, too, your system will be placed "upside down" than usual, with the back of the motherboard and all components facing the roof of the case, which the company claims gives better circulation. Representatives even demonstrated the airflow by a smoke machine, which showed the air movement in the chassis.
Although in the second version of the unique chassis, the company reduced the overall size of the chassis, it added no less than three 2 fans on the bottom of the chassis that push air towards the top, where a single 20 fan is located. Additional options added in the new package are a designated place to install an SSD hard drive when it is on the side of the cage and does not interfere with the installation of the other drives.
In addition to exposing the RAVEN 2, the company unveiled a smaller version of the chassis, which is also made of mostly aluminum. Each chassis is constructed of one piece of aluminum, which gives it strength and stability, but increases the price, which is expected to be high. In the major revision, apart from size and construction, is the fact that the drive cage is pulled out of the chassis, forcing the company to cut the number of 5.25 bays on the bottom of the chassis.
Another compact case presented by the company belongs to the Sugo series. This chassis is designed for mini-ITX standard motherboards, which offers minimal size. The chassis is built to the highest level and can accommodate powerful, non-standard video cards. The card is located on the side of the case near the ventilation holes on the sides, which does not spoil circulation and air flow, an important figure in these small packages, which gives Sugo the ability to handle a relatively strong system in terms of components. The fact that this enclosure is equipped with an 300-watts supply only limits the use of high-performance components. A similar package belongs to the same series, SG04 designed for gamers' systems, and is designed for carrying and maximum mobility.
In the entertainment entertainment area, the company unveiled a very short package, as it is designed to fit into any shelf you have in your living room. The company noted that they worked quite a bit to provide maximal illumination, when they did not hesitate to claim that after all the changes were made and the chassis was shortened, the circulation was not damaged. More details of the short chassis will be revealed in the coming months along with its launch date.
In addition to the various packages, the company also introduced other compact enclosures that are designed in a gentle and pleasant way, enabling the storage of a wide range of hard drives in a variety of configurations.
If we leave the storage field for a moment, we will reach a powerful and new power supply from the company, one that can supply no less than 1500 watts. The new carrier is equipped with a relatively large fan (135 cm) and offers a high efficiency range of 85 percent or more, which gives it the silver medal in the 80 PLUS standard. The new carrier is able to easily hold an array of multiple video cards, and its price is no less than $ 450.
