The quality of the outer packing is good. In general, the quality of Antek packaging for the mattress is very good since the packaging of the case is made using soft sponges.
What's in the box?
The package includes instruction manuals, handcuffs, docking screws for all hard drives and motherboard, as well as adapter for connection to the connection 3PIN To the fan.
An external look
Externally, the 1900 case is very beautiful. As you may have noticed, we got the green version, a version that would match the hardware of Nabidia carrying the same color. The case is also available in a red version for those who prefer the theme of AMD
The front of the case has four ports USB 3.0 And two more ports USB 2.0. Next to them, the headphone and microphone interfaces and on the left side are the power and start buttons. The front of the case does not contain indicator lights, so there is no indication if the computer is on or off.
The roof of the case is made of plain plastic and contains ventilation holes for the upper fans. It is flexible and not very durable.
The side of the case looks fairly solid and features a transparent window located opposite the motherboard area. As you can see, the lower part of the case has another opening door, which I shall discuss below.
The back of the chassis includes nine expansion interfaces for the motherboard components, an air outlet for the included 140 millimeter fan, a place to anchor two power supplies, a fan controller and buttons to open the lower partitions.
At the top is the fan controller. Here, the frustration begins. The controller contains three fan switches connected to the top and rear fans in the chassis. Apart from the option of "high" or "low" for each fan there are no other options here. Moving the buttons looks great as they are recessed.
The location of the fan controller and its characteristics are not understood. If I wanted to change the speed of the ventilators in the case, of course, when it comes to such a big one, I'd prefer to do it from the front. Move or pull out all this high tower to change fan speed is not practical.
We go inside
This is the content of the 1900 package. It seems quite standard, but it contains deep frustration.
This is the back of the case, fairly standard and includes holes for cable wiring.
This is a package for gamers. I'd love to know what Gamer
, Whose main business is gaming and now needs room for 14 hard drives? I can understand four, six or even eight. But to allocate as much space as possible to the means storage
It is simply incomprehensible.
Six out of the 14 are located below a separate partition. These rigid cages can not be removed. On the other hand, what reason should they be removed? The partition door is completely sealed. While good packages such as 900D In the lower door there is room to anchor fans, here, as stated, the door is completely sealed.
At the top there is room for six more 3.5 sized drives in inches and the size of 2.5 inches.
The drawers themselves are made of thin, fragile plastic. Flexibility or shock containment is important when anchoring hard, but these things felt as fragile as a toy. I did not have a big problem with the NIS 280 package when these drawers were displayed, but I wonder why they appear in the package at a cost of NIS 1000.
Anchoring the drives is done by inserting screws through the other side of the green rubber rings. The problem is that the screws that come in from the other side simply do not get in enough to get hold and hold the rings properly, leaving the movement free to drive.
An inner space
The space of the motherboard area is quite large as usual. It allows docking of motherboards in configuration ATX, XL-ATX And everything smaller than them.
The bottom of the primary and bottom partitions are located so that two power supplies can be installed. There is also an access gateway that allows the management of cables. Below you will see how functional this arrangement is.
Lower power includes a removable dust filter.
With the front of the case I had to struggle to get it out. After two barely positioned screws and hard plastic grips, I managed.
There were three 120-diameter fans waiting behind the front case cover. The fans are not tight and therefore do not allow the radiator to be installed for external or internal water cooling. They are covered with a separate dust pan that holds two diagonal screws. Here, too, there is a failure and lack of understanding regarding the management of air flow and the handling of fans. Besides the lack of options, the user is forced to perform the terrible door opening in order to screw small and separate filters.
The rear chassis fan exits air and is connected to the rear controller.
Between the three front fans, the bottom is not connected to the controller in the chassis, but simply contains one of these switches when it is free in the chassis. You need to open the case to look for the switch - this is nothing short of a disgrace when it comes to ease of use.
Before we approach the assembly, the legs of the case. The case stands on four thick rubber legs. I have no problem with the size, shape or location of these legs. I have a very big problem with the material they are made of and the way they are linked. That rubber, it's just a black color. If you place the case on a table and move the bag slightly, you will have a black stain that will not always be easy to clean. If this is not enough, the same legs are simply attached to the case and are not well held. In other reviews on the net, they received the package when several feet were detached from the package due to the simple glue.
Let's move on to the assembly, the part that illustrates my frustration with this case.
