Early Metal Gear Solid games and classic Contra and Castlevania games are now available for modern PCs, thanks to a welcome collaboration between the Japanese company and the GOG store
Konami is a long-standing and well-known name in the gaming world, but one that has not exactly been at its peak in recent years with very few significant launches that have also not been well received by gamers in most cases. Fortunately, at least some respect for past successes still remains with the company which has expanded into a variety of different areas of entertainment outside of the video game genre - from now on you can enjoy much more convenient access to famous games from the past in modern computer systems courtesy of the store GOG Without file protections.
The popular gaming platform from Poland added to its offering slightly updated versions of Metal Gear, the 1987 action and stealth game that formed the inspiration for the much better known Metal Gear Solid series, the original and beloved Metal Gear Solid from 2000 and also Metal Gear Solid 2, an extended version from 2003 season For Substance - in addition to the Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra package that includes the original Contra duo and the three original Castlevania games from the merry NES era.
All of these works are now adapted to function properly without much difficulty in modern systems, after many years in which the most likely option to access them was through various emulation software and controversial methods (at best) for obtaining the required original files. Prices are relatively high, notably - $ 10 for Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, and $ 6 for Metal Gear and Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra.
The personnel-PC Will continue to dream of the coveted initiative that will allow them to fill gaps within the ramified world of Solid Snake with modern versions of Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid 4 that have never been officially released on the platform - but for now we will try to settle for what we got this round, Although we will also probably wait for the next discount season which can bring prices to more reasonable levels (for works from the beginning of the millennium).
